Fjord to Fibre is something we built around the things we value most: creativity, connection, and the experience of making something alongside other people.
Between us, we’ve spent years in spaces where people come together, Anina through building community in the fibre world, and Kaitlyn through creating experiences in hospitality. In very different ways, we both came to understand the same thing: the moments people remember most are the ones where they feel something. Where they feel inspired, connected, and part of what’s happening around them.
We also both believe there is real value in making things. Not just in what you create, but in how it feels to create it. It brings focus, energy, and a sense of pride that is hard to replicate elsewhere. And when you’re surrounded by other people who are creating at the same time, that feeling grows.
Fjord to Fibre is our way of bringing those two things together.
The retreats are the most complete expression of that. They are designed to feel intentional from beginning to end, where the setting, the people, and the experience all work together to create something that feels special to be part of. It’s not just about learning or travelling, it’s about how you feel while you’re there, and what you take with you after.
At the same time, we don’t see Fjord to Fibre as something that only exists during a retreat.
We aim to build something people can stay connected to. A place where you can continue to feel inspired, see what others are creating, and feel part of something even if you are not there in person. That shows up through what we share, the community we are growing, and the things we will continue to create.
What we want Fjord to Fibre to be is simple:
Something people feel connected to.
Something that inspires them to create.
Something they want to be part of.
This is the beginning of that.
